A GOOD SUMMER FOR W C EAGLES

As we look forward to our Summer Camp and Indoor Try-Outs, I am very pleased to share with you the success our teams and our players have had this Spring/Summer.

W C EAGLES SWEEP NATIONAL CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS

For the eighth consecutive year our Under, 14, Under 16, and Under 19 NCC Teams won all three age groups of the National Club Championships.

Our teams outscored their opponents

Under 14 – 53 goals to 1 against

Under 16 – 25 goals to 3 against

Under 19 – 41 goals to 1 against

Our congratulations to these teams for another excellent performance.

NATIONS CUP BRONZE MEDALS FOR W C EAGLES PLAYERS

Six W C Eagles Alum won Bronze Medals playing in the Nations Cup in New Zealand for the USA Women’s National Team:

Reese D’Ariano, Ryleigh Heck, Ashley Sessa, Meredith Shoulder, Beth Yeager, and Lauren Wadas

Ashley Sessa was the joint top scorer in the tournament and awarded the Best Player of The Tournament Award.

SIX PLAYERS IN USA UNDER 21 TEAM

The following players are leaving on Sunday, July 3rd, to play for the USA Under 21 Team in the Four Nations Tournament in England against India, England and Belgium.

Taylor Bigbie, Sofia Ferri, Lauren Masters, Morgan O’Donnell, Riley Savage, and Aubrey Turner

W C EAGLES SELECTED TO PLAY IN THE WORLD YOUTH HOCKEY FESTIVAL

The following players will be traveling to The Netherlands in August to play for the USA Age Group teams against European Club Teams:

Under 16 Jenna Butler and Lucy Jones

Under 18 Sunny Draper, Peyton Esposito, Cheyenne Greene, Kitt Neel, and Caitlin Paul.

COLLEGE BOUND

Last but not least, we are very pleased that all of our 47 seniors are moving on to play NCC College Field Hockey this coming year. We know you are prepared, mentally, physically, tactically, and skill-wise to continue to excel. We wish them the best of luck.
