65 WC Eagles Selected to Play in National Futures Championship

We were very pleased to see the quality of our players recognized in the Region 5 (Pennsylvania) selections to play in the National Futures Tournament.

Out of the 36 players in each age group selected,

17 WC Eagles were selected for the Under 14: Ellen Almeida, Abigail Burnett, Julia Corropolese, Erika Culp, Sofia Ferri, Mia Freeman, Abigail Gerdeman, Rachel Herbine, Autum Kernechel, Olivia Kirkpatrick, Maggie Kondrath, Sydney Mandato, Reilly McMenamin, Opal Sparling, Melea Weber, Gia Whalen, Lilly Wojcik and Sarah Schaffer (alternate).

20 WC Eagles were selected in the Under 16: Sofia Acosta, Ashley Arnold, Kennedy Cliggett, Lauren DeRose, Aiden Drabick, Mia Garber, Annika Herbine, Lauren Kenah, Megan Maransky, Morgan McMenamin, Alaina McVeigh, Madison Orsi, Sophia Parker, Christina Rawa, Hope Rose, Ashley Sessa, Kelly Smith, Macy Szukics, Emma Rose van der Veen, Olivia Warchol and Carly Hynd (alternate).

13 WC Eagles were selected in the Under 19: Emma Donnelly, Cameryn Forgash, Caroline Kelly, Courtney Kenah, Alexandria Lavelle, Mia Leonhardt, Ellie McIntyre, Ashton Odiorne, Isabella Palde, Josephine Palde, Gianna Pantaleo, Sarah Rogalski and Lauren Wadas.

In addition, 8 WC Eagles Under 19 players have been invited to play in the Young Women’s Championship.

In other regions the following players were selected to represent their region in the National Futures Tournament:

VIRGINIA: Abi Shim (U16), Kylie Walbert (U16 Alt)

NEW JERSEY: Soren Kipphut (U14), Abigail Brown (U14 alternate), Ryleigh Heck (U16), Tara McNally (U16), Helena Stoever (U16), Jessica Wetzel (U16), Erica Solomen (U19)

MARYLAND & DELAWARE: Jaden Dahan (U14), Natalie Freeman (U14), Reagan Ciabattoni (U16), Rachael Whitehead (U16), Noelle Sabbagh (U16 Alt)

PITTSBURGH: Tegan Poerio (U16)

This follows a fantastic 2018/19 season when 24 WC Eagles were selected to the USA Junior National Teams;

6 WC Eagles in the USA Under 21 Junior National Team
