12 WC EAGLES ALUMNI ON UNC NCAA D1 CHAMPIONSHIP ROSTER

Led by WC Eagles Alum Erin Matson, in her first year as Head Coach of the UNC Tar Heels, 12 WC Eagles were on the UNC Roster which won the 2023 NCAA Division 1 Collegiate National Field Hockey Championship – Charly Bruder, Kennedy Cliggett, Ryleigh Heck, Maddie Kahn, Mia Leonhardt, Ciana Riccardo, Romea Riccardo, Kelly Smith, Paityn Wirth, Ella Barbacci, Ava Borkowski, and Abigail Taylor,

Ryleigh Heck scored the winning goal in sudden death shoot out. Goalkeeper, Maddie Kahn was named the Championship’s Most Outstanding player and Charly Bruder and Ryleigh Heck were named to the All Championship Team.
